IncubatorWorks Offer Seminar for Funding Available to Small Businesses That
Cost: Free
IncubatorWorks in Alfred, in partnership with ACCORD and The Greater Allegany Chamber of Commerce, is pleased to announce their sponsorship of a seminar on the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) program. This funding vehicle is unique in that the grant can be used to pay for project costs, including salaries, while R&D is being conducted. Another advantage for the small business is that the SBIR program funds the critical startup and development stages and encourages the commercialization of the technology, product, or service; which then stimulates the regional economy.
The seminar will be held on November 4, 2019, at the IncubatorWorks facility, 200 N. Main Street, Alfred NY. It will run from 5:30pm-8:00pm, with refreshments and networking from 5:30pm-6:00pm. Leading the seminar will be Jack McGowan, Project Manager at Insyte Consulting, assisting WNY manufacturing and technology companies with customized solutions to transform the way they do business. He also helps technology start-ups prepare for equity and grant funding and has many years of experience successfully guiding applicants for SBIR/STTR funding. Those interested in attending should contact Melody Kellogg, 410-713-8612 or MKellogg@incworks.org.
